Wednesday November 29th
Today was a long day. We started out at 6:50am and ended it at 10pm.
It was a special day of ministry as we had the opportunity to share the love and message of Jesus in Paarl . We spent the day at MCM Miglat where we ministered to children and youth from their after school programs. Their vision is to experience the kingdom of God by building peaceful and sustainable families. Under the direction of Aletia Grundling, they have been successful in reducing gang violence and bring safety to the communities they serve. Most residents speak Afrikaans as well as some limited English.
In the morning we had a great time playing with the children on the playground that was provided by Kids Around the World. Then we presented the story of Christmas through drama, shared the gospel message and then distributed food and a gift bag. Many of the gift you purchased from our Amazon list were presented today.
In the afternoon Hollie and I did arts and crafts in doors with the teenagers where it was much cooler while Isaiah was the tattoo artist outside in the shade. We again presented the Christmas story through drama and distributed food and gift bags. It was really special to experience the love and gratitude they had doing a simple craft. You could tell from the excitement and joy on their faces they felt safe and loved. We all left feeling very tired but happy.
